The Azzedine Alaïa Gallery exhibits the awards of the World Press Photo 2012, international contest of photojournalism. Clichés of a brute reality, testimonies of the events which marked the year, such the tsunami in Japan or the Arabic revolutions.
The Jury received more than 100 000 photographs taken by professional reporters and 57 photographers of 24 different nationalities which were rewarded. The 2012 winner of the World Press Photo Award is the Spanish photographer Samuel Aranda, who realized a picture taken in Yemen and published in the New York Times.
