You know as I love stories happening by chance, without expecting them… The Golden Blog Awards 2011 are part of them !
All starts on the last 22nd September…
I am in a car, passenger side, and my eyes fixed on a board whose enlighted letters invite me to get myself put on the website of the Golden Blog Awards 2011 in the “Paris” category.
I go back home, it is late, but I can’t wait for sending my application.
The day after, this last one is confirmed… let’s go for the adventure !
And this is how I invite – suggest – ask for all the fans – no fans – friends who want – can vote for MissaParis !
Because the 1st round is to gather the most of public votes.
The 2nd round, the jury vote. And finally, the sponsors’ one.
A frenzied run to collect the most of votes !
Then I wanted to attend the ceremony… but impossible to get a ticket, so I resigned myself to it… until the 14th November, 2 days before the ceremony itself !
Until the reading of the email sent by one of the organizers of the event. An email giving me the details for the party taking place 48 hours later…
I call this person who informs me that I have a ticket for the ceremony… as I am a finalist to the contest !
Surprising news for MissaParis !
And here I am for the final !
On the 16th evening, while the other guests are waiting in the cold, I have the right to the “nominated entry”.
And there I could discover the Mairie de Paris from the inside. The picture we all know is the one of a monument prestigious, big and representative of a dazzling capitale.
The salons are much more beautiful !
Bazling chandeliers, velvet king armchairs, castle draperies, high ceilings… and a crowd of 1500 people waiting for the prizegiving !
“Guest stars” for giving the trophies, such as Franck Provost for the “beauty” category !
When it is Paris turn, this is not MissaParis which is called… but Paris Zig Zag !
Little deception for my blog, but a big bravo to the two authors of the winning blog !
After the prizegiving, Champagne and petits fours (sometimes still frozen…) are served… the grande classe !
Anothe great adventure for MissaParis !
And to continueing it, I will ask again for your help in 2012 to vote for www.missaparis.fr !
