“Le Janissaire”, the good Turkish place of the 12th arrondissement

The waiters with a boa tie, the soft music background, the cosy cushions. That starts well.
The waiting is long. Not because of the waiters but of the time you will need to choose among all the meals written on the menu.
Here is our yummy selection (a true delight !) :
– as starters, home -made Taramasalata (delicious!) or Patlican Sarma, ewe cheese coated with aubergine and yoghurt.
– as main meals, Hindi Sarma, turkey escalope stuffed with cheese and pistachio cream, or Bagdat, mince with aubergines and garlic yoghurt.
– as desert… we weren’t hungry anymore ! But the semolina cake didn’t seem bad at all !

The little more : the home made bread and the kindness of the waiters !

To conclude a great restaurant with a very good value for money.
