“La voix lactée” [Milky Way] from Geneviève Cadieux, the Canadian mouth of the Saint-Augustin station

Whose mouth is it, the one we can see at the end of the corridor which goes from the platform of line 9 at Saint-Augustin to the platform of line 14 at Saint-Lazare ? This is Geneviève Cadieux’s, Canadian artist, whose other mouth is exhibited on the roof of the museum of modern art in Montreal. The Parisian “voix lactée” [Milky Way], earthenware mosaic, is the copy of the Canadian photograph offered by the city of Montreal thanking for the gift of a metro station by the RATP. And there are some lines of the poem “Une fois seulement” [Once only] from Anne Hébert which are along with this piece of Art, on the withe ceramic rectangles on the lest wall. Red lips in the Parisian mouth of the metro to seal the Franco-Canadian friendship… Paris is full of great stories, don’t you think ?
