The exhibition « Degas and the Nude » in the Orsay Museum : hurry up, that ends on Sunday night !

For the fans of Degas, of impressionism, of the nudes, of the pastel, for the fans of the Orsay Museum, of Art, of the cultural events… The exhibition which ends on Sunday night is for you !
The dancers of Degas are not the only famous ones, it is even the contrary : the exhibition of the Orsay Museum shows another aspect of his Art, the Nudes.
This is the presentation of the study of the body in its details, the will of Degas to study deeply certain parts of his paintings, but sculptures too.
We find dancers too, but this time nude, with one which is the only one of Degas that was exhibited during his living, for the universal exhibition in 1881.
The exhibition is well organized : nice colors, moquette, soft light to protect the pieces.
Only negative point, that is a pity that there are also some paintings for other artists like Picasso or Toulouse-Lautrec even if they also painted nudes… I would have preferred that « Degas and the Nude » remains 100% Degas.

Positive opinion however, go there quickly, that ends in 2 days !

Musée d’Orsay – Exhibition “Degas and the Nude” until July 1st 2012
